Bio

Lisa Rimmert is a comedian, writer, and award-winning author. While she’s lived and worked all over the country, she now resides near Tacoma, WA, in a town she’s never sure she’s pronouncing correctly.

Lisa performs in comedy clubs and bars all over the Seattle and South Sound region, including Laughs Comedy Club. She’s also a producer and host with the Open Mic Collective PNW.

A standup comedian with improv roots, Lisa brings both confidence and congeniality to the mic. Her material ranges from the silly to the subversive, with a through-line of skillful joke writing and a love of language.

Lisa has featured for Brent Terhune (Variety's 10 Comics to Watch for 2020, writer for Bob & Tom Show), Jamie Shriner Biddle (Best of the Fest at Big Pine Comedy Festival, regular feature at Zanies and Laugh Factory Chicago), and others. She performed in the 2022 HaHa Harvest Comedy Festival in Portland and the 2023 Winter Park Comedy Festival in Winter Park, Colorado.

Testimonials

“Lisa is a wry and clever joke writer who tackles sensitive topics with subversive subtlety.”

– Greg Sharp, The Comedy Experiment

“Lisa’s sharp wit is matched by her ability to remain relatable, yet silly at the same time. You’ll be quoting her long after she’s left the stage.”

– Brent Terhune, What on Flat Earth?, Dry Bar Comedy

“Lisa’s charming nature lures a crowd into a sense of family fun comedy, only to be cut by her sharp wit. Fueled by a vagabond-ish lifestyle, her comedy is entirely relatable whilst being outstandingly unique.”

– Louis D. Michael, Salsa Parlor
